Why We Do Our Work
Why We Do Our Work
It's no secret that Nepal is known as a source, transit, and destination country for thousands of individuals suffering from human trafficking every year. New trends for human trafficking are emerging daily. Under the guise of foreign employment, study abroad, fake marriage, breastfeeding, and organ trafficking, human trafficking tactics change day to day. Since human trafficking is a global issue that is perpetually rising in numbers, we know that our work is an uphill battle. The beautiful thing about our team is, we care.
We care enough to make our efforts ongoing in the constant face of despair. Since 2001, WPC Nepal has been actively working in the Makawnapur district to end human trafficking "one woman, one child at a time." It might seem like an impossible mission in the face of such high stakes, but we are determined to do whatever it takes to make a difference in the lives of everyone invested in our programs.
We know from experience that this work changes people's hearts, minds, and most importantly: their lives. Your contributions, and dedicated stewardship of our work helps us invest in daily projects that produce real results. Every donation helps us to change the face of the future, and we are grateful to everyone who takes the time to help strengthen our mission and vision by donating, volunteering, and spreading the word. Thank you for being here, and thank you for furthering our efforts to create long-lasting change in a world that can feel so dark.
